The early years of football, the ball used was very different to current, rather its design was identical to a basketball as you can see in the picture.
This model was comprised of 8 segments elongated, sewn like a basketball. All segments were joined at the two poles of the ball, particularly in a octagon-shaped wedge.
This ball belongs in early 1900. Today, some models are well preserved.
